The MK46 is a so-called LMG - Light Machine Gun , a somewhat eichtere Version des legendären M249 Maschinengewehrs.
The Airsoft replica of the Mark 46 manufactured by A&K has, like the original, a fully automatic electric shot drive and an extremely reliable M249 special metal gearbox with a spring quick-change system.
The LMG is mostly made of metal. Body, RAS, Flashhider, barrel and handle are made of extremely high quality, CNC milled steel and aluminum .
The only polymer parts are the pistol grip, the fore grip and the box magazine that holds 2,500 BBs . Under the handguard is the fold-out and 3-way length adjustable metal bipod .
The stock is adjustable in 6 positions and can be individually adapted to the shooter. The handle can be exchanged for any M4 / M16 standard model.
Since the box magazine is an electric version with sound control , two AA batteries are required to operate the magazine (not included).
The magazine automatically reloads BBs using the automatic sound control function. In addition to the box magazine, the MK1 can also be operated with a TM-compatible M4 / M16 AEG magazine.
There is enough space under the barrel for a 9.6V Nunchuck NiMh or 7.4V LiPo battery (each max. 25mm diameter). The fact that the handguard has to be removed for this is not a big problem, as it can be removed and reassembled with a quick ejection system without tools.
The Gearbox is specially designed for this model and has a spring quick-change system, 8 mm ball bearings and other very high-quality components. The barrel with a length of 315 mm and a diameter of 6.08 mm guarantees the best results for an LMG.
The LMG is the perfect choice for support fire with high mobility and maneuverability at the same time.
Experienced support gunner will soon no longer notice any difference to a normal assault rifle in terms of weight and length, but still provide far more supportive firepower.
